The 2016 transit of Mercury was well underway as the sun rose. This image was captured from Clover Point in Victoria at 6:14AM with a Canon T3i and f/4 300 mm Canon L lens. Exposure was f/4 at 1/500 sec and ISO 200. Mercury is the tiny spot just at the top of the trees.
