This represents my first attempt at creating a mosaic from overlapping images or our nearest (2.5 million l-y) galactic neighbour.
I seems to me that M31 wants to lie in a plane, but has been bent by the influence of its two satellite galaxies m32 and M110.
The challenge of this image, besides a "seemless" mosaic, is to keep the spiral arms bright without "blowing out" the galactic core.
