Elephant's Trunk (IC1396) SHO

Elephant's Trunk (IC1396) SHO

A combination of data from two telescopes during first light for my Tak. The luminance layer and Ha/Oiii combinations come from 72*304s (6h5m) frames with my Canon Ra at iso 3200 through my Takahashi TOA 130 with 645 flattener with an L-Ultimate 3nm dual band filter. I calibrated with bias, dark and flat frames.
Since I was guiding using the OAG on my SBIG STF8300m through my SVR90T riding piggyback I used that tube to capture Sii frames to be used when colourizing the TOA data. I managed to capture 39x480s (5h12m) using that configuration and an Hotech SCA flattener putting the system at 599mm focal length.
To produce the Hubble pallete SHO I split the data from the Tak into Ha/Oiii/Oiii, recombined the Ha and Oiii into masters along with the Sii master.

Location: Cobble Hill
Imaging configuration: TOA 130 with 645 flattener and Canon Ra at iso 1600 and SVR90t with SBIG8300 and Sii filter.
Guiding: SBIG 8300 with OAG through SVR90t
Mount: Celestron CGE Pro
Processing: Pixinsight (Batch Channel Extraction [for L-Ultimate Raw data]/Stacking Ha/Oiii/Sii stacks/Channel Merge/Linear Fit/ArcinhStretch/Starnet++/etc. then LRGB combination to the first light Ha data as the lum layer)
