This is a reprocessed version of my first attempt at IC5146 and B168, the Cocoon with the dark nebula Barnard 168 surrounding the Cocoon Nebula and trailing off to the west.
Details:
Date and location- 2007-08-04/5 at the Dominion Observatory Hill, Victoria BC.
Equipment- Williams 105mm refractor, modified Canon 350D and HEQ5 mount.
Exposures- 80 light and 28 dark frames each 58s at ISO 1600. Used 25 flats for calibration as well.
Processing- Calibration, alignment, stacking in Images plus followed by additional processing in Pixinsite and photoshop.
