Orion Nebula in H alpha
Cropped version of The Orion Nebula to show more detail. The nebula is a lovely sight visually and is strikingly beautiful when imaged in the light from the rich field of excited hydrogen gas that is feeding star formation in its core. Note the 4 trapesium stars in the core.
