Just after 3am as predicted the skies were cloudy as the Moon rose but it actually lowered the contrast so a 2 second exposure would show the Pleaides. I had a quick look through the binoculars and I could make out the brighter stars in the open cluster. Certainly not as dramatic as in the image.
