Messier 57, The Ring Nebula
The Ring Nebula is a very interesting planetary nebula, and I keep thinking it should be easy to get a great image, but reality keeps telling me otherwise. It's very small in the sky, and both very bright on the inside and very dim around the outside edge. I've been collecting data since May, trying to extract as much detail as I can, but have been frustrated by bad seeing and focus issues. I decided to mash together all the decent data I had, with and without a IDAS NBZ filter. There are 142 total exposures from many nights. I used a Celestron Edge HD 925 with a 0.7 reducer, an ASI 2600MC Pro, IDAS NBZ filter. I managed to get 14 hrs total exposure time. I processed it in SiriL, Starnet, GIMP & G'MIC.
