NGC 6543, Cat's Eye Nebula

NGC 6543, Cat's Eye Nebula

This image of NGC 6543, the Cat's Eye Nebula, a planetary nebula in the northern constellation of Draco, was taken over 3 nights, May 11th, 12th & 13th. It's a challenging target with very faint surrounding gas and a very bright core. I used a Celestron Edge HD 925 with a 0.7 reducer, an ASI 2600MC Pro, all pointed by an iOptron CEM70 mount. I managed to get 13 hours, 45 minutes total exposure time, with 165 x 300s subs. I processed it in Siril, Starnet and GIMP.
