Total Annular Solar Eclipse - October 14, 2023

Total Annular Solar Eclipse - October 14, 2023

Would you believe that I planned my honeymoon around seeing this annular eclipse, and it was almost clouded out? I happened to get married in my hometown in California the week before the October 2023 annular eclipse visible from the West Coast of North America. When I was deciding what to do for our honeymoon, I realized the path of totality for the annular eclipse would be passing through Oregon. So, my honeymoon became a road trip from California back up to Victoria. We stopped in Eugene, Oregon on the 14th within the path of totality. We ended up with an awful flat tire on the way to where we were going to watch the eclipse, so ended up watching the eclipse from the side of the road along with a stranger who pulled over when he realized something strange was happening. We barely made out totality through the clouds, but we saw it! This was taken straight from my phone camera.
