This is a composite of three images, one 2.5 minute exposure of the Milky Way at ISO 1600, a 30 second exposure of the foreground water and mountains, and a 1 second exposure of a passing cruise ship.

This was taken from Jordan River, BC, looking across the Strait of Juan de Fuca at the communities of Clallam Bay and Sekiu, Washington, backed by the Olympic Mountains.
