Early Morning Planets

Early Morning Planets

I was out around 5am before sunrise and I could see the Moon and an array of planets. Jupiter was closest to the Moon with Saturn and Mars to its left. As a bonus I found an optical double star in Capricorn, Alpha Capricorni.

Over the next couple of days the Moon will be passing by the planets. On Wednesday the Moon will be centred under the trio. Let’s hope the skies stay clear.
