Perseus Galaxy Cluster
This galaxy cluster, also known as Abell 426, is the largest structure in the known universe, with more than 1,000 galaxies! I centered a 40' field of view on NGC 1268 to catch as many galaxies as possible; although the brightest galaxy in the cluster, NGC 1275, is seen in the lower right of the frame. Image taken Oct. 16, 2018 from urban Victoria with an ES127ED apo refractor. 58x60-sec subs, guided, 20 flats and master dark with ZWO ASI183MC Pro camera. Processed in PixInsight.
