This is a picture of the California Nebula I took during the Seventh Annual RASC Victoria Star Party. Attendees got a chance to listen to two interesting talks, and on Saturday morning, got rewarded with exceptional observing conditions. The bright star in this frame is Xi Persei (Menkib).
