NGC7662, Blue Snowball Nebula

NGC7662, Blue Snowball Nebula

Date: November 25, 2008
Location: Victoria Centre Observatory, Victoria, BC, Canada

This image was a test of using the Canon dSLR prime focus on the Meade LX200. There is some detail visible in this nebula, so I'm quite pleased with this single shot photo.

Equipment: Canon 50D dSLR mounted prime focus on a 14" Meade LX200 operating at f/10 mounted on a Paramount ME, unguided.

Exposures: 1 x 30 seconds ISO 1600
Conditions: Temperature/RH 4.4°C/55%, LVM 4.5, Transparency 4/5, Steadiness 4/5, mostly clear skies
