Sketch of a Quarter Moon - July 13, 2024 22:24h
A lovely clear evening with bright quarter Moon [Q, +0.2]. Spica, the bright star in Virgo, just came out from behind the Moon a couple of hours ago and is now 1.1 Moon diameters behind.
Let's take a close look at Archimedes and the eastern half of the Imbrium Sea. The seeing is awful. I'm trying to focus on the craterlets in Casini, but I just get a flash of the 2nd oen every once in a while, and a often the other one washes out.
