This is a false color image of the Veil Nebula, NGC7960, taken through H-alpha and OIII filters.Details:-Date and location - 2009-12-01 in backyard, Fairfield Victoria.Conditions - very bright moon, 4 deg C, clear with very light breeze.Equipment - Modified Canon T1i with Astronomik 13nm H-alpha and unmodified T1i with OIII plus 300mm f/4 lens piggypacked on HEQ5 mount.Exposure - Ha-29 light and 20 dark frames at ISO 3200 and f/4 for 2 min each with 8 flats for calibration.OIII- 29 light and 20 dark frames at ISO 3200 and f/4 for 2 min each with 8 flats for calibration.Processing in Images Plus and Photoshop.
