This image of M51, the Whirlpool Galaxy, and its neighbor NGC 5195 is my first from the new Victoria Centre RASC Observatory.Details:Date and location:- 2008-06-22 at Observatory Hill.Equipment:- 14" Meade SCT on Paramount ME with modified Canon 350D camera and helical focuser.Exposure:- 18 light and 14 dark frames all at ISO 1600 for 120 s.Processing in ImagesPlus and Photoshop.
