Heart of the galaxy

This is an image of the region in the constellations Sagittarius, Scutum and Ophiuchius that is close to the centre of our galaxy. The dusty core has many dark nebulae and some very bright ones - the Lagoon, Omega and Eagle nebulae are nearby. They show up as red regions on the left of the image.

Conditons - clear, calm and 10deg C.
Modified Canon 6D camera with a 100mm Macro lens on iOptron skytracker.
Exposure - stack of 9 - 1min exposures at f/2.8 and ISO800
