Meteor smoke plume starting

I got lucky during the Geminid meteor shower this year and managed to capture part of a very bright track and smoke plume near the Orion Constellation. This image shows smoke plume 6 min after the flash.

2014-12-14 in my backyard, Victoria BC.
Conditions - clear and 7 deg C with no wind.
Canon 6D (modified) with 50 mm Sigma f/1.4 A lens on iOptron skytracker,
Exposure - 120 sec at f/2.8 and ISO 320
Processing in ACR and Photoshop
