Milky Way over the Painted Pony
My last image at the 2014 All Star Party is one of my favorite images. Venus was rising (the bright object in the lower left) and the sky was brilliantly clear. I took several images with durations ranging from 24s to 4 minutes using a tracking mount. This one was of modest duration (52s). It was long enough to give a sharp and low noise sky but short enough to minimize a blurred forground from the tracking mount's motion.
