NGC 4565 in Coma Berenices is a magnificent example of an edge on galaxy with its central bulge and prominent dust lane clearly seen. Also seen in this image is NGC 4562.

Conditions - Clear, calm, 14 deg C with no moon.
Equipment - QSI-Hyperstar on Meade 14" SCT.
Exposure - 5 light frames - 480s ea plus 2 dark, 10 bias and 10 flat frames for calibration.
