Couldn't wait for this scene so got up at 4AM on a clear night to capture the sight from my backyard. You can see Serius just over the trees, Orion above and to the right and Taurus and Pleiades toward the top. Jupiter is the very bright object near Taurus. A dimmer part of the milky way runs from top to bottom on the left.

Exposures - one 240 sec and one 30 sec exposure at f/2.8 and ISO 800. Processing in Photoshop.
