I have photographed the Sword of Orion many times and every image is different. Sky conditions and processing both play a role. This one has much more striking color than my previous ones probably due mainly to the very clear sky.

56.2 min of exposure all at 4 min per frame except for one 16s frame to capture the bright core. ISO ranged from 200 to 800.
