My first attempt to capture the disk of Mercury. This sequence was taken during May 2021 evenings when the planet was setting after the sun. It was low in the sky so atmospheric refraction and poor seeing made it difficult to capture detail but the shape of the waining crescent is seen.

Celestron Edge 8” SCT with ZWO ASI120MM-S camera. ZWO ACT, Powermate 2,5x and IR filter.
Several Video sequences of 5000 frames were taken using SharpCap and the best 9% aligned and stacked in Astrostakkert. Minor enhancement and normalization was done in Photoshop.
