There was a short period between the time it got dark and the moon rise the evening of August 1, 2007. I had a go at imaging the M20, the Trifid Nebula in the gap.

Date and Location- 2007-08-01, Backyard in Fairfield, Victoria.Equipment- WO 105mm refractor with modified Canon 350D on HEQ5 mount.Exposure- 95 - 28sec lights and 35 darks at ISO 800 plus 25 flats.Processing- Stacking and digital development in ImagesPlus followed by additional processing in Photoshop and Astronomy Tools.
