Jupiter's Great Red Spot
Jupiters "Great Red Spot" can be seen in this image taken from my backyard on Sept 20, 2012. It is not as red or as prominent as it has been at times in the past but it is still an interesting site. The persistent anticyclonic storm that is responsible has been seen from the time that telescopes were capable of spotting it.
