NGC 281, the Pacman Nebula

NGC 281 is an H II region in the constellation of Cassiopeia and part of the Perseus Spiral Arm. It shows an good example of a Bok globule, a dark knot of dense dust and gas . This nebula is sometimes unofficially referred to as the Pacman Nebula owing to its fancied resemblance to the hero of the arcade game Pac-Man.

Details -
2009-09-22 at the VCO.Conditions - 20deg, no wind, some reduced transmission early, then clear.
Equipment - TV 127 with modified Canon T1i on Paramount ME mount.
Exposure - 31 lights and 10 darks at ISO 400 for 240 sec ea. 8 flats were included for calibration.
Processing in Images Plus and Photoshop.
