The region from Puppis to Carina is rich with dark and light nebulosity. The super nova remnant in Vela shows up faintly in the centre of this image and Eta Carina nebula is just on the lower left edge.
Details:- Date and location - 2009-02-25 at La Ensenada resort in Costa Rica.
Modified Canon 350D with 17-50mm lens at 24mm focal length.
Exposure - 16 light and 20 dark frames at ISO 800 for 238s each with 8 flat frames for calibration.
