NGC7023 - Iris Nebula
This nebula is sometimes called the Iris after the flower. Whatever the name it is quite a beautiful object. This image came from two very good imaging nights at the Domimion Observatory in Victoria BC.
Details
Date and location Sept 7-9 at Observatory Hill, Victoria BC. Equipment - Williams 105mm refractor and modified Canon 350D camera. Exposures - 124 light and 40 dark frames all 58 sec.at ISO 1600. 25 Flat frames were also used in the calibration. Processing with ImagesPlus and Photoshop
