Moon Halo
Halo around the moon observed from the Victoria Centre Observatory. Halos like this originate when the light of the moon is bent passing through hexagonal ice crystals. Note the subtle color of the inner portion and the slightly brighter sky outside the ring. Also note three observers trying to hold steady.
