The Milky Way from Cypress Hills

The Milky Way from Cypress Hills

I spent the last week camping at Cypress Hills, Saskatchewan. I was very impressed with this facility.Although I think some of the services were against the spirit of camping e.g. ice cream parlour! Wildlife was abundant. I got woken up one morning by a moose who was having breakfast a few meters from my tent.Clouds prevented any viewing on the first two nights. Clouds were also present on the third night but I was able to observe with my 66mm telescope. My last two nights at Cypress Hills were as clear as it gets...and dark.So dark in fact it was confusing. I counted well over 20 stars in the Great Square of Pegasus. Here is a view of the Milky Way.
