Cattle Point North East during Perseids
I was bit more prepared last night and I saw many meteors for the couple hours I was at Cattle Point. I saw 3 large ones and probably up to 10 small ones over that time between 10:30pm and 12:45am. I haven't found any on the fisheye frames that I collected yet. I had a wonderful time observing with binoculars. There was the Alpha Persei Cluster, the Double Cluster and Stock 2 next to it. The Andromeda Galaxy was surprisingly detailed in my 6 degree binoculars. I watched Mars emerge from the horizon line, being so low on the horizon it made its rich salmon colour even more vivid. The Milky Way was readily visible but the area around the Teapot to the South was swamped by light pollution.
I took a parting shot with a wide angle lens of the view I was focusing on all evening. You can see some of the objects mentioned in the image.
