This galaxy is very massive (twice the size of the Milky Way), and very distant 27 million light years. It is also remarkable by its degree of asymmetry - the centre is not in the middle and the spiral arm are wonky. Also, there are a lot of active star forming regions in Red (Ha), more than in al lot of other galaxies. These characteristics are thought to have been caused by collisions/interactions with other galaxies in the past, some of which may be visible in the image.
