Student Legacy Park was the official site of the eclipse party at Oregon State University. Things were already buzzing by the time we arrived at 8am to secure a place on the astroturf field.

The field was covered with umbrafiles, the self proclaimed label for eclipse chasers. I could tell there were seasoned viewers and newbies alike.

At 8am I took this shot of the Sun before all the action took place. You can see the two sunspots that were present. AR2671 was there mid-week in Victoria and AR2672 was just coming around the limb this morning.
