M8 and M20

This image of the Lagoon and Trifid nebulae was taken at the 2014 RASCALS Star Party to demonstrate astrophotography to the visitors. To keep it short I used only a 30 sec exposure with a modified Canon Rebel camera. Despite the ridiculously short exposure the image is not bad. Modern DSLR cameras are amazing.

Very clear night with some wind but good seeing.
Modified Canon T3i on 80mm Orion APO refractor operating at f/6 on iOptron ZEQ25 mount.
A single 30 sec exposure at ISO 3200
Processing in Adobe Camera Raw.
