Messier 63 (Sunflower Galaxy)
This image represents 1h55m of data collected from the Victoria Center Observatory through the Meade 14" guided on the Paramount ME captured with the QSI583@-10. The image is calibrated with dark, bias, and flat frames.
Messier 63 is a spiral galaxy, but doesn't display the grand design arms apparent in something like the Whirlpool. As a result I found it more difficult to process, as detail while abundant presented itself with lower contrast. I may return to this image again soon as every time I try to settle on it I am unsatisfied, but I still thought the result was worth sharing.
