Antennae Galaxies

The Antennae Galaxies, also known as NGC 4038/NGC 4039 and ARP 244, are a pair of interacting galaxies in the constellation Corvus. They are currently going through a starburst phase, in which the collision of clouds of gas and dust, with entangled magnetic fields, causes rapid star formation. They were discovered by William Herschel in 1785. Details - 2017-03-07, 21, 22, 26 20" f/4.1 telescope at the SDG observatory of Garry Sedun in Arizona. TV Paracorr coma corrector and SBIG ST2000 XM camera. Guidescope WO 80mm f/6.8 APO. Mount - Paramount ME Exposures - used 35 of 40 B, 47 of 55 G, 54 of 66 L and 46 of 53 R filter subs all 240 s. Processed in Images Plus and Photoshop.
