Arp 41 - NGC1232

One of the unusual galaxies catalogued by Halton Arp. It is a lovely face on spiral with several patches of red nebulosity indicating star forming regions. The following comment is from the Arp Catalogue - Companion spiral wound in same sense as parent.

20" f/4.1 telescope at the SDG observatory of Garry Sedun in Arizona.
TV Paracorr coma corrector and SBIG ST2000 XM camera.
Guidescope WO 80mm f/6.8 APO.
Mount - Paramount ME
