This is from two attempts at imaging this lovely example of an edge on galaxy. I used the color provided by an earlier DSLR image and the luminance from a recent QSI ccd image. The dust lane and central bulge are particularly clearly seen.

Conditions - Warm (18 Deg C), calm and clear with excellent seeing.
Equipment -C14 SCT with QSI 583c CCD on Paramount ME.
Exposure - 5 - 300s lights, 10 Bias, 10 flats and 9 darks.
DSLR image
Date and Location - 2008-10-25 at Victoria Centre Observatory.
Conditions - Clear and cool (2-5 deg), little wind and good seeing.
Equipment - Modified Canon 350D on Meade 14" scope.
Exposure - 9 dark and 9 light frames each 248s at ISO 1600.
Processing in ImagesPlus and Photoshop.
