This wide field image of the Horsehead and Flame region is a combination from two sessions with 105mm and 80mm telescopes in 2009-12-07 and 2011-02-01. Total exposure time was 4 hours, 38min. The two very bright stars are Alnilam (upper left) and Alnitak (above the flame) that are part of the belt of Orion. The image shows a wide region of glowing Hydrogen gas with the prominent Horsehead dark nebula in the centre of the image.
