Comet Jacques C/2014 E2

The skies were clear at the VCO last night with the exception of low hanging mist. In the northeast C/2014 E2 (Jacques) was not far from Cassiopeia at a magnitude of approximately 10.7. A comet recently featured on APOD and discovered in March of this year it is on course to its closest approach to Earth on August 29th.
