ARP 214 - NGC 3718
ARP 214 is one of the most beautiful of the peculiar galaxies catalogued by Halton Arp. In this image it is the lagest galaxy. NGC 3729 is to its upper left in this image.

2011-04-30 at the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory near Victoria BC.
Telescope operator Dave Balam.
Conditions 7 deg C and clear with good seeing.
Equipment - 1.8m Plaskett telescope with CCD camera.
Filters and Exposures - R -5x60s, V -5x90s, B -5x120s.
Processing - Flats applied at Plaskett. Final processing with Images Plus and photoshop.
