Sun in H-alpha

Sun in H-alpha

The sun is quite dynamic so it is always interesting to see what it is doing when there is a sunny day. This image shows some nice prominences and quite a bit of surface detail from the churning atmosphere.
2015-05-17 on a clear day with temp about 20 deg C.
Modified Canon T31 with 2.5X powermate on Lunt 60mm scope with 50mm double stack filter. Mount was a Skywatcher HEQ5.
Exposure - single frame for 1/50s at ISO 400.
Processing in ACR and Photoshop.
