This is an H-alpha enhanced imaage of the Orion region showing the Orion, Horsehead and Flame Nebulae. Barnard's loop and M78 can also be seen.

Conditions clear and 3 deg C.
100 mm macro lens on modified Canon T1i camera with astrotrac mount.
Exposure - 35 - 120 sec lights at f/3.5 and ISO 400 with 36 darks and 8 flats for calibration.
Processing in Images Plus and Photoshop.

Date and location2011-09-29 in my backyard, Victoria BC.
Conditions - Clear and 10 deg C with a very thin overcast.
Equipment - Modified Canon T1i camera with Astronomik 12nm H-alpha filter and 100 mm Canon Macro lens on guided HEQ5 mount. 66mm Skywatcher guide scope with PhD software.
Exposure - 5 light frames 10m each at ISO 3200 and f/3.5 plus darks and flats to calibrate.
Processing in Images Plus and Photoshop.
