I could not wait for Orion to appear in the evening so got up to image it around 4 AM on Sept 10, 2011 after the moon set.

Conditions clear and 15 deg C.
100 mm macro lens on modified Canon T1i camera with guided HEQ5 mount. Guide scope - 66 mm skywatcher with orion starshoot autoguider and PhD software.
Exposure - 7 - 300 sec lights at f/5 and ISO 100 with 4 darks and 8 flats for calibration.
Processing in Images Plus and Photoshop. This image is a 60% (by length) cropped version.
