This mosaic image of the Sagittarius-Scorpius-Ophichus region shows more of the structure of the milky way and especially the dark nebulae that hide the centre of our galaxy. Note the Horse shape above the space between the two trees.
Details-
Date and location- 2008-08-28 at the Saskatchewan Summer Star Party in Cypress Hills.
Equipment- Modified Canon 350D with 50mm lens on Astrotrack mount.
Exposure- 3 separate images from 5 frames, each 5minutes at f/4 and ISO 400.
Processed and combined to form the mosaic in Photoshop.
