New Crescent Moon
We noticed some interesting features while looking at the New crescent moon during a members session at the Victoria Centre Observatory on June 3, 2011. I attempted to image them and this is the result. Notice the bright sunlit features that extend into the shadow area.

Conditions very good with clear sky, good seeing, no wind and 12 Deg C.
Equipment was an Orion 80mm APO refractor on an Astrotrack Travel mount with a Canon T1i camera.
Exposure 1/20s at ISO 800.
