Horsehead in H-alpha
This is an image of the Horsehead and flame nebulae, taken through an H-alpha filter.
Details:-Date and location - 2009-12-07 in backyard, Fairfield Victoria.
Conditions - bright moon, 0 deg C, clear with light breeze.
Equipment - Modified Canon T1i with Astronomik 12 nm H-alpha filter and 105mm WO scope on HEQ5 mount.
Exposure - 87 light and 20 dark frames at ISO 3200 and f/4 for 2 min each with 8 flats for calibration.
Processing in Images Plus and Photoshop.
