Crescent Moon Venus and Orion
I got up early to photograph this grouping this morning. I started off at Rithet's Bog thinking that would be the right setting but I couldn't seem to find the right angle so I drove to Oak Bay by the marina and took this shot over the water.
The Crescent Moon was nice grouped with Castor and Pollux, Venus and the Orion Constellation. You can even make out M42.
The pre-dawn is a wonderful time to make images of the night sky. If you time it right you can get just the right hint of blue as a backdrop for the stars.
