Mercury Transit of the Sun - November 11 2019

Mercury Transit of the Sun - November 11 2019

It was a beautiful sunrise with the Mercury transit already in progress. As the sky brightened it looked like our prospect of viewing the transit was poor. From our vantage point on Mt. Tolmie we could see the Sun navigating the thick layers of cloud sometimes teasing us with the possibility of a quick view. Near the egress I decided to cut my losses and expose a number of frames through the cloud cover. On close examination you can see Mercury approaching egress.
